Used to be the case that if you did your Christmas shopping on Christmas Eve, you were shopping late.

Now it seems that if you do your shopping in December, you're shopping late.

Can be a nightmare if you're shopping for children, and have a popular toy or similar in mind - once you hit December they just seem to be sold out (at normal prices anyway).

This year finding a Nintendo DS for my eldest girl was a slog, and I remember a couple of years ago trying to find a V Tech in her age range was the problem.

Note to self - next year, do the kids Christmas shopping at the start of November.

Very true. Unfortunately, it means all your warranties run out after 10 months though!

It also means that any cool electrical stuff you buy online, you have to open and test in case they're DOA

A good excuse to have a play with loads of toys well before the kids get a look-in.
