I have just moved into a flat from a house and have brought my Sky with me. I was told that Sky was available in the flat so I thought all I had to do was connect it all and I would be up and running.
There is a socket in the wall with SAT on it so I assume I simply connect the wire to that and also the digital box. My problem is that I don't have the screw in connector that goes into the digital box and then into the wall. Can anyone tell me where I can buy the proper cable and what is it called. I apologise if this is a stupid request.....I'm normally good with this sort of thing! Thank you |

F connector Fly lead. They are availiable in Maplins, and most DIY stores
![]() The other alternative is to keep an eye out for either a Sky or Virgin Media Van and ask them nicely to make one up for you ![]() Something like ebay item nos. 310001710850, 180187414818, & 110198971699 should do the trick ![]() Nano

Hi,
The cable is called ct100 (or sometimes wf100) and the connectors are called 'f' connectors. You should be able to pick it up at somewhere like Wilkinsons, I'm sure they let you cut it to length, and they sell the 'f' connectors too . Should only cost a couple of quid Don't use ordinary TV coax, it's the digital satellite stuff you want, though it maybe wouldn't make much difference if it's only a metre or so.Kev EDIT: Beaten by Nano ![]()

Thank you for the quick response and for not making me feel stupid!
I have located a Maplin store near me in Glasgow and its open from 11 to 5 today so I'm off there now to see if they can help me. Will let you know how it goes. Thanks again |

Would just like to say a huge thank you to all the posts regarding my Q. I am up and running with no apparent problems. Even managed to buy a ready made up cable costing £4.50!
Thanks again Jules |
