From wot have read may need a jtag to patch.

Postage is about a tenner, item is in Norfolk.

Doubt that you'd need a Jtag unless it's really quite old - it's advertised as new and unused. It's actually a Silvercrest-badged Comag SL65 - probably one of the ones sold by Lidl.

Yorks' article is indeed a great starting point, though we are using newer files these days and a lot more is open on this box! See the threads in the Comag section about Yumatu/Truman conversion for Ali B1 chips. There are other options if it happens to have an E1 chip. If it's an A1 you're stuffed. No way of telling for certain which chip it is without opening the box and removing the heat sink, unfortunately.

Bl**dy hell, it went for 42.50 plus postage!! Not such a bargain - hope no one here got carried away.

These receivers seem to be popular at the moment - word must have got around about our 'research'.

Makes my SL35S brought from germany about 10 months ago look very cheap, that was £28 + 12 postage
