Default blind scan

How long should a blind scan take.I set one off three hours ago on 9 east.It has got to 22% on 10962v .found 82 channels.I could be up all night at this rate.

Some receivers do take a long time, that's why feed hunters tend to go for receivers specifically designed for blind scanning that only take minutes instead of hours.
It might be quicker to use lyngsat and scan in all the frequencies listed for 9E, or leave it over night.
How many channels can your receiver store? As blind scans can quickly fill a limited receiver.

My Technomate TM1000 is glacially slow! I once abandoned a blind scan of 28E after 14 hours and it had done about 10%!

I take it you have the TMS1000 rather than the TM1000 super.

I have the super and it has never taken anywhere near that long, probably minutes rather than hours. ( never timed it)

Yes my TM1000 is one of the earlier ones. The blind scan doesnt bother me as I rarely use it anyway. Its very fast at scanning the preset tp's - a few minutes to rip through the ones at 28E.
