Default Funcard error. HELP PLEASE

Hi all.

Details.

Type: Cable Tv
Box : Samsung 2100c (chipped)
Area: Essex

Programmer: Dynamite +Plus
Programmer software: Cas Studio 8.3a

Card: Funcard4

Im new to programming cards and having some difficulty getting my funcard to work. After programming the card following the tut that has been provided in Funcard.Files+Tut.rar down to a tee, I get the following message on my box after the card has been inserted and updated;

Sorry. Your smartcard isn't inserted properly so you wont be able to see all the channels. its easy to fix, just check the card and re-insert it...etc.

I used NagraEdit to change the box key and IRD and saved the file as NTL.bin, The tut says to put the IRD number in backwards, can someone just clarify in which way, for example, if my IRD was 3E 49 AA 10, Would this backwards be?

01 AA 94 E3
or
10 AA 49 3E

I have tried both ways and even as its displayed just in case it was already backwards, to no avail, same poxy message

I use the Cas Studio 8.3a software for the programmer, all by DuoLabs. On opening Cas Studio, I select the Smartcard tab and click on the PROG, card programmer icon, Is this the correct one for Funcards? I then change the External EEprom to the NTL.bin i created and the flash to chaos V3 NTL.HEX as supplied in the zip file, then write the card. I must of tried like 20 times now and Im still having no joy, needless to say Im pulling my hair out atm, lol. By the way I always ERASE the funcard before writing any new data to it.

Please help, it would be much appreciated. Thanks for taking the time to read this thread and many thanks in advance for any help!

After you click on prog click on the tab at the top that says funcard and click on prussian card 2 which is same as fun 4, you will see little pic of card in btm right cnr, ird backwards is 3E last like your last one.

There are many ways of programming a fun card. You only put the IRD in backwards if your using RHV1 to create a Exteep... you dont need Nagra if your using RHV1 to create Exteep, if your using Nagra then you just enter your IRD in Straight.

Using RHV1, IRD Backwards would be done like this:-

IRD is 3E 49 AA 10, you would enter it as 10 AA 49 3E...

Thanks for the info guys.

The only thing I wasnt doing was selecting the prussian card 2 option, so thanks for that. However I still cannot get the card to work. I have tried so many ways before replying back, hence the late reply. The only other option is 'mode' (memory lock) which has been set to off. Is this correct?

I am following this simple tut;
  • Open up Nagra and click on file then “open card image”. Select the file “NTL.bn11” (or the one for your cable company). fficeffice" />>>
>>
  • Click on “data editor” and change the boxkey and ird to your own. (the ird goes backwards). Click save as and rename it to “NTL.bin”.>>
>>
  • Open up your programmer software and load “NTL.bin” as the external eeprom and “chaos V3 NTL” as the flash.>>
>>
  • Write the files to the card and leave to update in box for roughly 5 minutes. I find flicking through the channels speeds the updating process up.
I am using NagraEdit only. This tut says to put the IRD in backwards when using Nagra? Tee, You stated to put the IRD in straight? Regardless I have tried both ways numerous times and still having no joy whatsoever! Im getting the same message I mentioned in my first post.

When saving the image from NagraEdit as ntl.bin it default saves the image as NTL.bin.bn11, When saving the image from NagraEdit you get save as type options in the dropdown (ROM 2, ROM 3, ROM 10, ROM 11 and ALL FILES), this defaults on Rom 11 card files. Which option is the correct one?, I have tried 'all files' and saved as NTL.bin, guess what, still no joy ... I put the card in the box, it says updating, after about a minute I get the same error message?

The instructions are very simple, ive followed them down to a tee, I dont know what Im doing wrong and Im out of options now. Any1 near essex
wanna pop round and show me how to do this, there will be a drink in it....My drinks are a hundred quid!! lol

Been trying numerous ways for what seems like days now, any help muchos appreciatos.

Thanks..

Default Funcard error. HELP PLEASE

Hello again.

On reading another tutorial, I realised the tut id been following didnt mention inserting the public key 0 and 1 digits. I downloaded the bigmaq toolbar and got them, then punched the digits into NagraEdit and saved the image this time as exteep.bin, on trying the card again, it still did not work, I also saved this image as ntl.bin and tried that, still to no avail.

I feel like giving up, but I know Im nearly there..Please help

Using Nagraedit, you do put the IRD in backwards - 12 34 56 78 becomes 78 56 34 12.

Could you have one of the boxes with a duff card reader - or does that only affect Pace's?

try using toxic7 to program your card, if you are using an older image for nagra then you may need to reset your date rights.

you dont get that trouble with toxic

Dont insert the public keys just leave them noughts, it stops the auto updating, try changing the cam id just make one up.

I appreciate your help guys, im just confused, Tee says to put the IRD in straight and lincsat says backwards?

Need to really clarify some stuff as I have followed all instructions and suggestions all the above methods you mention I have tried and more and still no joy, its really doin my nut now

1. IRD backwards or straight?

2. Public keys left as default (key 0 = all zeros, key 1 = all 1's) or changed to keys available for ntl, or all set to zeros?

3. Do I need to change Cam Id's? If yes, which ones and what to? as there are 3 available;

(code space)
(low provider info)
(high provider info)

4. In Cas Studio 8.3 which options should be ticked or unticked? ATM my settings are shown as below.

Thanks the insaan, where can I find Toxic7? As far as Im aware Im using the latest image available in the FTA section and how would you reset your date rights?

lincsat as far as im aware the box reads cards fine, it has been done a couple of times before. I just want to clarify all the above as Im now going to try all this all over again on another box, just in case my card reader is f******. Ive really tried everything it seems and I am getting nowhere.

Thanks guys.

all depends on the program you use to create the exteep wether you put ird forwards of backwards.
