Tried to patch a new Technomate 5400 with the USB stick but when I press ok, I get memory error! Does anyone know why?
Thanks

I would suggest trying another stick if you have one, in case there is a fault with it.
If the box patches OK with RS232, this would suggest that the memory aboard the receiver is alright, if not send it back to southernsatellite ![]() |

![]() ![]() That's the first time I've heard anyone actually having to do that, well on the 1000 series anyway, although that is what is advised on the DM site. Perhaps its a peculiararity of the TM USB receivers. Good information Josh, I will bear that in mind, in case anyone else has a similar problem. |

I've patched a 5200 straight out of the box - although it was with RS232.
Only problem is with the blind scan. On hotbird (for example) it finds loads of transponders but no channels. On the TM1xxx series, the blind scan only finds channels not transponders. Is this a Technomate "improvement" or just a bug with the Darkman patches.

I think it's like how my old Fortec Star used to work on 'power scan.'
From what I can gather it scans for all the transponders first. Then having done that it should scan them for the channels. Yorks ![]() |

The problem being on a full satellite Blind scan of Hotbird, the blind scan doesn't find any channels - I wonder if there's a limit to how many channels it can do on a blind scan.
Blind scans on smaller sections of other satellites do find channels.
