The Germany version of RTL transmits free to air so yes his receiver should work if the dish is pointing at the German hotspot of 19E - if its pointing at the Italian hotspot of 13E then no - the version of RTL carried on there is scrambled!.

Hi,

Thanks for your help.

How do i go about changing it to recieve the RLT.

I think he has RTL2 but not RTL.

If i were to go back would i be able to change anything i.e. tune it/move dish in order to pick up RTL.

Really hope someone can help.

Thanks

Tom

You need to find out WHICH channels he definitely has access to then we can identify which satellite he is currently getting. A list of half a dozen or so should do

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.

Ive contacted him and he in fact doesnt have any Italian channels. He has RTL 2, Eurosport, German MTV and a few Arabic channels.

Does this help?

Regards

Tom

Not really no! Its probably 19E, but he should have RTL if it is. Does he know how to scan extra frequencies on the box?

So if he has RTL2 he should have RTL???

I dont think he does (old lol)! I could scan the frequencies when i head back. I think he has vox also. Are the chances he has RTL??? He defo has many arabic channels.

Is it a question of scanning frequencies or moving the dish?
