Default Best MOBO CPU combo ?

Looking at upgradeing at present i have an AMDx2 4400+ on an Asus A8N-Sli Delux board with ATI 850 card. looking at either
1/ Asus Crosshair with a AMD Phenom 9600 with GT8500 card
2/ Asus Striker with Intel Q6600 with GT 8500 card
Any one have dealings with either of these and any recomendations?

I'd get the Striker. Thats the MB I wanted to get but it was a little out of my budget.

i would go for a lower end core2duo cpu like the e4500 and a gigabyte p35 board.OC the cpu to 3 ghz easy and it w00ps...

theres not much use for quads, epsecially in gaming..

Thats what I have (except with an ASUS P5NE motherboard though). Running stable at 3.1 GHz at a 1:1 FSB-Memory Ratio
