it is just like the other sky version but the difference is in the transponder files and the type of card, a cheap TV card simply wont work, to do it properly you need a dvb-c card, that way you can eliminate the need for a set top box, as you pc will act as one.

i dont know if lincsat has any of those but the most common place for ordering them is DVBSHOP - Technotrend, Shop, DVB-S, DVB-C, DVB-T, HDTV, H.264, DVB-S2 in germany

i have used the C-2300 which give a good quality picture but TT dont support this card any more and as far as i know there arent any official vista drivers for it,
the C-1500 is a budget card which no onboard decoder so be prepared to download loads of plugins but this works ace with vista and is still supported by technotrend. i currently use a C-1500 with no problems

I'm looking for a card I can drop into a PC and use a remote with - and also replace my eurovox (wink), are there any cards that do this, or do you need a subscription?

yes you can recieve all except VOD, unless you want to scan every 10 minutes, if you do a scan it will pick up VOD if there is one showing, if not then you get a blank screen

Hi, the insaan do you know what spec of pc I would need to run such a card?

Are they straight forward or a pain to setup also what software do you get to decode the cable signal?

Thanks

brian
