Flashing is easy mate , you need a null modem cable to flash the software to the box to de-crypt subscription channels , most new software files come with there own loader so it is a case of plugging the box into your PC via the null modem cable and pushing a button. These boxes are virtually newbie proof and are the place to start.

They are probably talking about ADSL broadband and not cable broadband. If you can't get the cable for TV installed, then you can't get the TV.

You can have cable fitted into your house if you live in a non-cabled area but it's expensive. My girlfriend's dad was going to get cable but VM said that it would cost £200 to dig up the road and fit all the required cables .

This would only happen if you were already in a cabled area. If you live in a town that doesn't have any cable network then you've had it.

The way I see it is if your getting a dodgy box, that £200 has paid for itself
