Default Eurovox Max V 2008 beta 1 firmware

Does anyone know whether this firmware has any known issues? Currently running it and cannot get channels or transponders. The box was purchased from lincsat but hoping to find out further info from here prior to bothering him. I didn't realise that he patches his boxes prior to dispatching ;(

If you can't get any channels or Transponders it's usually a connection problem. Do you have any subscribed equipment and is that working OK? Try connecting the box straight to the cable feed into the house removing all splitters and subscribed equipment.

If you bought the box recently, it will have the beta2 firmware on it - the boxes are always patched with the latest firmware before dispatch, Beta1 was only available for a couple of days before Beta2 was released

Lincsat thanks for the confirmation. If the box was shipped with beta 2 then I've been silly and installed beta 1. I'll reflash beta two and recheck the connection.

In answer to your question regarding connectivity where I am testing it has a valid cable connection with a working STB. I've unplugged all connected devices and plugged the cable directly into the eurovox via RF IN connection.

My signal quality when scanning is around 80 - 98% so I can tell that the cable isn't the issue. Let me reflash and recheck.

Thanks for the help.

If you've installed the Oct15th Firmware, you may have too much signal as the booster is always on, although I would have expected you to find something - do you have the correct symbol rate for your area?
