Default Noobie wants to buy TM 6900 HD, how hard will it be to set up?

Right, I'm finally going to ditch my cable subscription and my Eurovox and buy a TM 6900 HD, but I've never set one up before, will it be complicated for a complete beginner?

What will I need to buy? Is there a guide for complete begineers out there?

All I have at the moment is a Dish from a provider I used to use (s*y) which I assume is pointing at the Astra network. (maybe not)

Any help or links or PMs will be greatly apprecited

They are quite easy to setup if you already have the dish. It should be noted that you will only get the Free channels on Astra 2, none of the Sky pay channels. You will get BBCHD and you should get Channel4 HD when it finally launches

Its really easy to set up, has one of the best instruction manuals available. BBC HD looks fantastic, but obviously depends on your TV

Stick a motor on the dish and there are a lot more channels up there.

I might invest in a motorised dish, what kind of stuff is out there? I don't mind sticking any unscrambling software on there but will it just be European stuff (not in English) or can you pick up some US FTA (or non FTA) channels?

If its a sky mini dish it won,t be big enough for motorised system, you need minimum of 90cm dish for reception of most available sats
