Angry Samsung LE32M87BDX not up to scratch... Can you help?

Hi,

I have recently purchased a 720p/1080i 32" 100Hz Samsung HDTV.

I expected, for £650, not to be able to grumble, but I have to say I am not impressed.

Has anyone else had problems, or found some edges to be grainy, especially when gaming? My main concern is the way the ball on Pro Evolution Soccer on the PS3 is "echoed" when travelling at pace - surely this shouldn't happen, and a crisp picture should be supplied!

Any light shed on this would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers!

Some of the problem may be caused by the source setup but LCD panels are not renowned for good image movements.

Thanks for your reply.

Could you advise as to a possible remedy to this, or some form of improvement, if possible?

Cheers,

Mike

I think you will find that the motion blur that you experience is down to the technology used.

That's a very interesting site - seems to say only positive things about plasma TV's, but quite critical of LCD's.

It also fails to mention issues that affect Plasma TV's such as lip-sync issues and solarisation.

Try switching 100Hz off, this is known to cause motion blur issues on some Sammy's.

The older sammys are not as good as the newer 1s,it is the lcd panels used.I have 1 of the newers 1s on a 46 inch, once you played with the settings a bit there great. Some of the 40 & 46 inch here the panels are not the same.I guess i was lucky as i got the good panel in my 46 inch sammy.Im more than happy with the sammy i have,i have seen others that are not as good.
