Hey fellas,
Have a look at these pics. One is where I've mounted the dish. The other is the view which is SW more or less. Do you think I should move the dish more to the left? Or do you think it's alright where it is. I ask because I haven't got a good signal yet. John location_smaller.JPG Sorry! Didn't know they were so big!!! I removed 1 pic.

Not sure about the azimuth as there is not enough information to know that.
But the elevation looks far too high. I looks like its almost pointing at the roof. The elevation only needs to be about 40 degrees, which would mean the dish face being at about 15 degrees. I could be wrong it is difficult to tell from the photo, but I think you have over cooked it by about 20 degrees. Also for 30 W, the LNB SKEW is wrong, it should be rotated the other way. Robbo ![]()

Thanks Robbo;-)
My main concern was that the terrace ceiling might impede the reception. I keep looking at the dish..........and then the terrace ceiling.........n scratch me ed a bit. Anyway, I'm going to get a meter some time this week. Probably after I've cleaned the kitchen, and the bathrooms! The shop where I bought my stuff has one for €8.65, which is just over a fiver in real money. Cheers!!!

If you are after 30W from Seville, there is no way the ceiling will interfere. You need to tilt the dish forward quite a bit and as robbo says, the lnb needs to be skewed the other way.

would agree with jim and the rest of the replies that dish does look to point abit high up and the lnb needs to be skewed anti clockwise
have you tried websites like dishpointer.com this will help as you can get dish elevation figure for your location

Thanks fellas!
Yeah. The day I took the pic I had the portable TV on a table in the living room where I could just about see the signal levels. So, I was pointing the dish all over the sky. Didn't have much success, which is why I'm going to get a meter, which should be tomorrow. Cheers!
