Default Problems with TMS1500

Hi All,
Please be gentle Im new to this game.
I have just got myself a new TMS1500 CI+ box and I am trying to connect to my laptop. It does not have a rs232 connection so I purchased a usb to rs232 adapter but it doesnt seem to work. can anyone help please.

You will need the USB to RS232 and a null-modem cable.

Make sure the USB to RS232 is installed properly (may be more than one driver to install). Also check what COM port the device has been installed to - do that from Windows device manager. Winblows often puts them somewhere ridiculous like COM9, you want to be on COM2,3 or 4.

Thanks for your help, checked it last night the RS232 Null modem cable was knackered. got new one and yipeee it is working.
