Question Eurovox Max V 2008 setup?

Id be grateful if anyone could help me out with setting up this box. Its brand new from iwantabox with all the software installed. Im in Dublin and have basic N*L. I hooked up the cables, turned it on, went to menu and followed the instructions (clear data etc), and then ran the full powerscan. It runs through all the frequencies and the signal/quality meters jump from 8% to 98% every few minutes in the scan, but it just says TP:000 the whole time and no channels seem to be found. When I press the blue button for manual setup nothing happens. When I try to update channels it says 'no transponder'.

Ive searched various forums trying to find out why its not working, and all I can find are instructions for the older boxes. Can anyone walk me through the setup or point out what Im doing wrong?

Thanks!

What firmware are you using, press menu and system info to find out. I can give you an updated channel dump file for your area/provider with all channels sorted into favs.

also i had a problem with 1 of mine scanning with the latest kuro image so i flashed the box with sept 2007 image and the box worked fine.

Thanks gji. I did try that with the same results. Also saw advice on another forum to try 6.875 in Ireland and thought it was worth a try, but no joy.

I contacted CH**US N*L and checked that I could recieve digital and they told me I could get over 130 channels if I subscribed. Im pretty certain its cable and not MMDS and all cables have been triple checked. Im in Finglas, Dublin.

Is there a way to manually tune in the transponders and channels on this box? Im currently searching frantically for a serial cable...

Are you on Ch**us MMDS or cable and where are you located as frequencies are area dependent?
