Very true - and its my fondest hope that some of the cable fans will get interested in the wonderful world of satellite tv - theres a lot more to tv than the crap served up by British channels.

For instance last New years Eve many of the sat lads on the forum celebrated 12 new years! (not using anything more than basic cheap kit)

Had a look over the sat section recently. I used to have a subscription with sky but now only the freeview channels (still got my d box though). Still got the dish and box but from what i've been reading you have to upgrade to a bigger dish. Obviously have to get a different box but just wondered what are the benefits? Can you really gain that many more channels?

P.S Mainly looking for sports

Any advice for sat newbies appreciated.

Cheers
