Presume you are on N** cable and not on MMDS, just press menu, installation, user installation, press yellow button for powerscan, choose normal with a symbol rate 6887, use frequency range 250.000 to 460.000.

Think this was the thread you were on last night All Nthell Channels & Frequencies (ireland)

try selecting what looks like timer settings (these menu options were mislabelled on mine, or else the highlight is the opposite of what I expected)

Hi all,

Anyone know why Channel 4, Film 4, Film 4 +1, Sky 2 and a few other channels no longer work on my Box (version 2) in Ireland? Are NTL (UPC) getting crafty or are my boxes in need of any upgrade to box III? Any advice?

Thanks

DJMAC

Neither - N*L are just moving them around a bit. This type of thing does happen periodically and has nothing to do with their battle against dodgy boxes - its simply housekeeping on their part

You have 2 options:

You can delete all your channels and do a full rescan. Go to Menu / Config / Clear Data (pin 1004). Set your symbol rate to 6.887 again and do Full Autoscan between the freq 285.000 and 425.000. You'll need to re-organise your favs again.

OR

You can download my CDF file from here CDF Files for the Eurovox onto your box and do a manual scan on freq 347.000 (this cdf pre-dates the C4 changes). To do a manual scan, go to Menu / Installation / User Installation, highlight the frequency. Press OK (a tick mark will appear beside it) and press blue button (Manual). This will re-scan that frequency only.

Either way will sort you out.

simple powerscan will bring up all the missing channels at the end of your listing, on NTL will be channel 141+ (ie 2 channel 4's, 2 Film 4's will be located, new one at the end, old one in the original place you had it etc). Just delete the old one and substitute in the new one.

just to add. when i try to search for stations it comes up " No transponder to scan" i have the cable lead plugged into the back.. and it is a working lead as when i plug it directly into the TV i get my normal stations.
Hi All,

I have the same problem as "Never" had. I tried all the steps suggested to him on the forum but I am still having a problem.

The box was working until recently. I needed to put in a new code which I have since gotten hold of but I thought I needed to install an upgrade to the software. I installed the new software & now I don’t seem to be able to tune in any channels. Getting the “No transponder to scan” message.

I live in Dublin (I am trying to sort out the problem connected to the cable in my parents’ house in Limerick)

I have cable (N*L)

If you can provide me with any help that would be great. I really fancy having it working for Christmas.

Thanks a million.
