Hi guys,
You all seem a very friendly and knowledgeable group so hopefully you can help me clear up some very new (to me) concepts as I plan to build my first Media PC. I currently have a legitimate subscription to Digital+ (I live in Barcelona) and am hoping to build a machine based around MythTV which will enable me to watch and record these programmes, along with offering me the other benefits of a computer-based PVR. So, have I got this right in my head? I buy a DVB-S card with a Common Interface, and get myself a CAM. By slotting my Digital+ card into the CAM, does that automatically make all my subscribed channels work? Or is there something I'll need to do inbetween to make things go? What about channels I've not subscribed to - I saw an ad for a Dragon CAM on eBay which listed all the channels I'm subscribed too and a lot more besides - would they just work? What about the change to Nagravision 3 that I've been reading about on here? How will that affect me? Sorry, lots of questions, but that's all my mind is at the moment - lots of questions! Thanks in advance for your time! |
