Sky+ & PS3 & surround sound 5.1 ???

Hi,

Could someone please help me with following issue before I pull what hair ive got left out, lol.

Im trying to get my Pioneer dcs-370 surround sound system & playstion 3 linked up to my samsung plasma (ps50q97hdx)at present my surround sound system is working perfect and the ps3 is ok visual but I cant seem to link ps3 to surround system, the sky+ is also working fine in surround sound so just ps3 issue.

I did buy an optical but then discovered my pioneer system only has 1xhdmi 1xscart 1xusb, no optical.

so at present this is set up im using:

PS3-hdmi to plasma
dcs-370-hdmi to plasma
sky+ scart to plasma
Sky+ scart to DCS-370

I have thought about using optical from PS3 to sky+ then linking to plasma will this be poss?? I really have not got a clue.

From the specifications that I have read, the Pioneer dcs370 is not an av amp with surround sound, it is a dvd player/tuner with surround sound output. It only has one analogue sound input which does not take digital signals.
