I bought a Binatone Big Button 500 digital cordless phone. It was for my mother who has a medical summoning system connected to her phone, courtesy of the local council. The Binatone works fine from my telephone line but can neither answer nor make calls from hers. We have already taken one back as we could not hear anything in the earpiece. The replacement rings when it is called, but we can neither hear nor speak to anyone on it. I think that the medical summoning system may be using the same radio frequency and somehow knocking out the phone. We reconnected an old analogue cordless phone again which works reasonably well. Does anyone know about these things and can you give me any clues?

Did my problem show up anywhere? Just wondered as there has been no reply yet and that's unusual on this Forum - there's always someone who knows of a solution to most problems - I live in hope...
