Prog dvb installation problem

I insttaled the prog dvb from the link u given and registerted elecard but getting same error
tuner space not found bd device not found.I also selected my bda skytar card but of no use

i meant an elecard edition of progdvb. there is special version of progdvb which is not available for free, it has the lelcard plugins enabled and it is a bit more stable than the normal progdvb

Hello Jim. Your message 8 has given me a clue to my problem - WinXP not Vista.
I've installed the latest v5.13.4 but ProgDVB wont open, I get Error Message
'ProgDVBEngine. Device not started. Sky Star 2'

I entered SS2 during the instal', it's shown in the Device List but it wont enable and when I clear the Error box ProgDVB wont open.
Following your tip I went to progdvb.ini and removed the 1 after the= sign. That allowed me
to get the Device List again and to highlight the Sky Star 2 entry but it wont enable and I get the repeat error message.
So I'm stuck. What do you suggest I do now?

My last post, unanswered, was in Help and Support, but perhaps thats the wrong place to post this.

Mike, I am not sure what you are saying. If you are using Vista, the SS2 drivers are not working, you need the BDA drivers.

I have just put the latest drivers on the download area.

Nope, I'm on WinXP not Vista
and I've gone back to SS2 Driver v4.4.0 after having operational difficulties using v4.4.1RC
BUT I've not been able to prove that v4.4.0 is working because I can't get SS2 to Enable in the ProgDVB Device List.
I get the error message and cant get back in, I do your trick in progDVB.ini, that gets me into the Device List, it wont Enable Sky Star 2, I get the error message and I cant get back in.....

Have you checked in control panel>system>device manager to see that the SS2 card is installed properly?

You need to delete the previous drivers before trying to install the new otherwise windoze thinks it is clever and installs the wrong ones for you. I found I had to go into system32 and actually delete the ss2 drivers.

Yep. In Device Manager its shown as working properly.
Driver Details shows its in C\Windows\System32\Drivers\SkyNet.sys and when my
cursor hovers over that it shows B2C2 DVB4PC v4.40.9999
It shows date created 27.11.06
Also in System 32 I see SkyAVC.ax if thats relevant.

Problem. All seven tabs seem to be open together at the same time. For example I can't view Direct Show, its all mixed up with Picture Adjustment etc

I hate computers, dont understand them and never will, all I want to do is look at my Fave TV

Can someone help with this before I go to channels and scans
