Pole mounting - what have I done wrong?

Following advice found in the forums I got my 2" galvanised scaffold pole 6 foot long. Drilled a hole and fixed a bolt for a cross brace.
I spent 2 hours digging a hole 2 foot deep. Got pole vertical with inclinometer and spirit level. Filled hole with Hanson's Post Mix, following instructions to the letter.
Gone out this morning (24 hours later) and pole just lifeted out of the ground and the mix, which is supposed to set in 15 minutes, is just like lumpy porridge!
What have I done wrong?

You didn't mix it properly before putting it in the microvave.

No seriously, did you get a heavy frost which stopped the concrete from setting?

Also, is your ground sandy which would have drained off the water content? Or is your ground waterlogged?

It was raining hard when I did mine, and I didn't follow the instructions, just chucked it in and tipped on some water. Mine is rock solid.

I suspect that you have done nothing wrong, but more like the bag of post mix you have bought may have gone off.

I used a few bags of blue circle from Wickes, and it was set in a very short time indeed.
