Setting up surround sound on SkyDH (sounds tinny)
I have sky HD connected to my TV via HDMI but I want to get the sound to play through my surround sound system.
I have connected the sky HD to my surround sound system via the red and white audio cables but the sound comes out tinny and echoey. Does any know why this would be and how to fix it? Would an optical cable be better? |

Yes, the red and white cables are not digital surround sound. They are only left and right analogue stereo. For surround sound, you need to use the optical or digital cable output from a receiver.

With a proper surround sound amp and an optical connection, some of the SkyHD sound is stunning
