Recently purchased an LG 42PC5D TV. Find the HD quality is not as sharp as it should be - in comparison to other tv's I've seen. For instance, soccer matches on Sky Sports HD channels look the same as the non HD sports channel. I must have it set up wrong. I have seen reviews where the HD picture has got top marks. Can anyone advise about settings etc.??

Have you connected with HDMI or Component cables? You don't get HD through scarts. It's suggested to set your HD box to 1080i.

Does your TV tell you what format it's receiving, on some TV's you press an info button and it displays the format on the screen. Check it's not 576i as that's standard Definition.
