Hey Folks,
I wonder if any of you have experienced the following situation, or know any details about it: I have a PACE VM box (just the free channels), and I also have a DBox2. My PACE VM box has three virtically aligned green LED lights. The top light is usually on by itself when the box is on stand-by. The top 2 are usuallly active when the box is switched on. The third (the bottom) light however, only "beeps" (switches on/off) from time to time - I assume that is "Talk-Back"? What prompted me to write-in however, is the fact that as I fired up my DBox 2 and started watching TV, the beeping of the third light started. I couldn't recreate the scenario, but I was wondering, did I experience a random talk-back ocurrance? or was this the VM Box talking back to inform them that I have a second box connected? Any feedback is a greatly appreciated. |

Hi Steve,
Phew! I never felt 100% comfortable to be honest, which is why I only plug in the secondary box when there's a specific programme I want to see, and I always make sure the the VM box is on at all times... Still, it was a bit odd to have talk-back happening as I switch on the DBox2! It could be just a random thing... (I take it the flashing of the bottom LED light is talk-back then?) Ta. |

Sorry to be downbeat... Once again, I turned on the VM Box, waited a few minutes, and then plugged in the DBox2 in, and guess what? the talk back LED starts blinking again ![]() I removed the cable linking the DBox2, and the flashing stops.... I plug it in again, and there goes the flashing on the VM box again... ![]() I'm gonna give another try, but i wonder if there's any technology that's detecting the DBox2? Much obliged in advanced! |

Thanks for the response... I've got a little further in my investigations... It appears everytime I switch the TV on, a succession of flashes occur (3, bottom light). Strange, could it be the scart connection perhaps? Incidently, how do i know what model my stb is? Much obliged! |
