you say your using a usb to com port.
thats probably your problem.... use a rs232 cable and connect it to the com port on your pc then to the com port on your eurovox...if you still have a problem it could be something wrong with your configeration on your pc.. try flashing your box on another pc if thats the problem

Hi gj125
Thanks for the suggestion, however I have tried this by using a serial to rs 232 but my pc won't recognise the EuroV. I have also tried to flash from a laptop as well and also had the same problem.

More than likely you are using the wrong null modem cable, (you probably have a straight through cable), you need a cross over cable:

You will need a null modem cable DB9F to DB9F your's may look similar but it might not be the correct one.

Null modem info here

Maplin > USB to Serial 9 Pin Male Adaptor

If your pc does not have a serial port you will need a USB to serial port adapter to use in conjunction with the null modem cable.

USB Adapter info here

http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?Modu...erial%20Adaptor

These two cable links are only for reference as they can be purchased alot cheaper on fleabay.

I think this is your problem, I did the same mistake and used a normal serial cable. You need a null modem cable, the cross-over cable. I got one for 50p on ebay.
