annoying talking

hi can any one tell me how to turn the talking subtitles off that i have on a couple of channels esp bbc3 had a quick look through on here but cant seem to find anything its a eurovox max btw thanks

press the red button select audio 1
i just tried on miami vice and audio 2 is some guy waffling on

lol its ok ive had my box ages and been watching eastenders with the audio on for months thinking thats just how it was durrrrrrr !

I was wondering if Virgin had been playing around with the default soundtrack becaus I've been getting that quite a lot lately but never had it before..

Hi there, i'm knew to all this so please forgive me I sound a bit thick. I had a ex5000 and the red button worked straight away to get rid of the talk over but iv'e since had it replaced and the red button doesn't do anything now, doesn't even bring up anything on screen when it's pressed. Does anyone have any ideas cos I nearly threw it out of the window the other night. thanx in advance

You need to flash it with firmware 1.1A for the red button to work.

Hi, my wife seems to have a perfect cure for the annoying talking, I seem to struggle with it during Football, F1, Moto GP. Etc, She however seems to be able to stop it during Corrie, Emmerdale & Bell Enders. Whats All That About ?
