Question Eurovox does not recognise remote control

Hi,

I am a newbie to this forum, although I have membership of a couple of others.
The problem I have is that my Eurovox Max 2006 model no longer reacts to the remote control - I have tried a couple of remotes without success - can anyone suggest a fix?

(the remotes all work with my mates box)

Have you checked to see if the remote IR sensor is loose inside the EV?

Thanks for this.

The sensor appears to be okay.

The remote failed after a power scan - any other suggestions would be appreciated.

A mate of mine had the same problem, no response from the remote !! when I checked it one of the rubber buttons had stuck in, when I released it everything was ok...!!

Just a thought, it might be that

The middle green light is not on - all I get is the box displaying 4 zeros '0000', and a message on screen that says 'channel currently not available'.

Hi guys,

I had (still have) the same problem as you are having. I concluded it is the IR sensor (see my posts in forum problems with eurovox max ) and unsoldered it. But could not determine what frequency it operated on and so not fixed the problem yet. Using the box upstairs (as a spare) and changing the channels manually. Bit of a pain when you have over 200 channels.

Have been looking for the front panel to buy or somebody to suggest which IR sensor I need.

Default Rubber button stuck in also

Hi there i also had the same problem with remote not working, changed batteries to start with but still not working, took about half an hour messing about before I noticed one of the rubber buttons had become stuck down.

On releasing it just by flicking it out with my finger nail all started to work as normal again.
