Hi. Before I bought my receiver I read in it`s specs that it`s a multicrypt. On the receivers box it only says it`s conax embedded ,and nothing else. Now the question : I just bought 1yrs subscription to Cyfra+ (SECA2)for my wife as a christmas present, will that work on the receiver without buying an additional cam? I don`t mind buing but if I could save something on already expensive gifts for my lovely wife

it would be great.

Hi,

I have no card reader myself, but according to a thread on the main support site for the TM models the 1000 series should handle Cyfra + OK, as well as many others. It would not be unreasonable to assume that the 5000 series do also.

Not sure if you have to patch it or not, also not sure if you would have to disable the patch to make it work first.

PS. Love this Satellite subject, gives me so much fun (getting to know it and discovering a whole new world)while sick ..(how long can you watch FLOG IT and the likes of grand designs,ever popular Top Gear on Dave, Eggheads etc.
