Default Starview 2 & EUROVOX MAX 2008

Hi,

I’m a newbie to all this and found two boxes (Starview 2 & EUROVOX MAX 2008) on eBay that sound very interesting.

If I buy these boxes then do I still need to go through all the steps of programming the box and card. I’ve read through a few of the strings and found that everyone is very helpful on this forum.

Thanks in advance.

They are pretty straightforward to do, usually come unflashed supplied with a disc or you can download files.

Thanxs for the comments.

I found a few more posts about the box and it states something about scanning for channels. It sounds like an easier way to obtain the channels than fiddling around with the viewing card and the digital box.

yeah it is a whole lot easier. Just depends how much you like a challenge. i like a challenge so i got a programmer an funcard 4 for myself and a eurovox for my old man. Modded a p4ce 1000 and it worked 1st time so it ain't that difficult...lets face it, all the hard work has been done by the boffins on techwatch! Set up the vox for my old man an thats a doddle aswell, flash it with software( although it does come already loaded with an older version) powerscan and tv-a-gp-go! The epg on a eurovox isn't as good as on a chipped box but hey...he didn't seem to care too much when he noticed the' adult' channels...i told him you need a pin number to view them!
i got my gear off you know who from techwatch.
