Talking astra28east

hi people can anyone help me ? moved to spain costa blanca bought a silver crest sl65 with 80cm dish cant find astra 28 can anyone tell me how to get it and will i get all the channels listed on it ? do i need to face the dish up more because im in spain ,someone said use south as 12 o clock and put the dish at 10 o clock keeping the dish vertical but will that work in spain or do i need a bigger dish because im in spain got a 1200 dish spare if so ,am i being think dont no much about them ,but i no if i dont find it soon it will become a big frizbee

Hi,

It depends on what size dish you have to what you will get.

You won't get anything from 2D (BBC etc) unless you have something like a 1.8m dish.

You won't get any SKY encrypted channels because you need a sky box for those. You will just get any Free to air channels that are left.

Have a look at this:-
Eurobird 1 & Astra 2A/2B/2C/2D at 28.2°E - LyngSat

it shows all the channels and footprints for the various beams from the sats at 28E

Use a calculator such as this:-
SatLex Digital :: Technology :: Calculators :: AZ/EL Calculator

or DishPointer.com - Satellite Dish Pointer / Alignment Calculator with Google Maps to get your dishpointing angles for 28.2E

cheers will do ? ive got a 80cm dish but ive got a spare 1200 think i should change them over

Yeah, give it a go with the 1.2m, but I think you will still have problems with the Astra2D satellite.
