If its showing 8888 a fun cards not going to work, if you set fire to it i think you might be asking for trouble lol, why not buy another box off flea bay and a few tools, or a eurovox etc.. did you try cleaning the sim card ?.

if the box shows 8888 they are ways to fix this just need to know which model of box you have
