Hi when i watch a movie with media player i get sound but no picture i did download k-lite codec pack but it didnt work. Is there a codec out there i can get that just dose everything with no messing around

hello have you tried unistalling windows media player then installing it again as it might be something to do with the medai player and might not be anything else.
try unistalling it or reinstalling it then see how it goes. or it could be something else. any more problems with the media player let me know and ill try to help as much as i can. hope this helps The Simpsons

It *should* go and get the one it needs automatically. If it doesnt then chances are you cant use MP to watch it!
What format is the movie? If its a film dvd then see if you can find a free copy of Power DVD on the net - its pretty good - we use it at work. (Ive got boxes and boxes of Power DVD 6 lying around - we have had a bundled copy with every single new computer we had delivered in the last 18 months - over 300!)

u can download a programme called gspot and when u open an avi file in it ,it will check to see what compatible sound and video codecs u have ,if u dont have any it`ll tell u what is required

hi
or if are not that fussed you can try out vlc player .....it will play most files thrown at it and them some....also Km player is good aswell with lots of options good luck |

Hi
Do a google search for windows media player classic.Once downloaded select options menu.And then select all formats then click save. This player plyas almost anything. DANNYBOY
