Question The Ultimate home cinema setup?

hi guys,
I have been trying to get my perfect home cinema setup complete but need some help from people who actually know what theyre talking about!

I have connected my pc up to my Toshiba 27" WLT 56 (HD ready) but i seem to be having a bit of a problem with the resolutions for the TV. On certain resolutions my mouse can go out of sight on the screen (what is showing on the screen is slightly smaller than whats actually there). And also the quality doesnt seem to be as good as when im watching tv on it.

Is there any particular graphics or video card i need to solve this problem or any kind of driver i need to download?

One more thing, is it possible to connect up the TV so that it is in HD when im using the PC?

A lot there but your help would be greatly, greatly appreciated.
Thanks guys!

Hi Grixti, I assume you are using the dvi pc to dvi TV connection with a separate audio connection. The TV should have controls to set up the overscan sizes so you should be able to fit the picture to the screen size.

If you are using video output from the motherboard then yes you should be able to improve things with a graphics card. I have a ATI Sapphire X1650 Pro 512 MB card and it allows excellent output.

If you want to go the whole hog, you can fit a pc sat card in your pc either SD or HD and get excellent tv reception. Obviously you would need a sat dish.

The quality of tv will depend on the CPU in your PC and also the operating system.
