Hi guys,
This is my first post i hope it not a duplicate, had a wee search and couldn't find anything so here goes. ![]() I just got a new samsung telly (a white 19" effort LE19R86WDX) with a CI Common Interface slot on the side of it. Apparently CI's can be used to house a CAM which in turn will house a card. ![]() The manual says that it possible to hook up a Cable TV cable to the antenna socket and decode DVT-C. I was as shocked; as im sure you are. Has anyone got any idea if its possible to program a CAM and funcard, and use the telly as a cable box? Has anyone worked on this before? These TV's have been out for a while and i cant belive that this has never been explored before. Thanks in advance. Last edited by Lube; 29-12-07 at 09:46 PM. Reason: Inserted TV model |

Its good to see some interest!
From what i can gather, we'll need a Nagravision CAM to work with the encryption used in the uk. Ive been having a look on some german websites for parts, does anyone know of any uk dealers? cheers |
