Hi all, prior to purchasing a TM 5300 i went for the budget entry wiztech 4010, along with a platinum x cam & xtv card .....

Anybody have any knowledge of the 4010 unit as the cam will not activate correctly ? i know the cards ok as it works fine in the TM but i get a constant on screen flash of ' Cam INITIALIZING' and if i continue to take it out and insert it (20 mins worth) it will maybe work once , only to not work again soon after changing channels ???

Any ideas guys ? patches for the receiver etc ?

also i have one of those slotty things (pls excuse ignorance) in my pc ..... can i patch the cam or anything in there too ?

dont know about the 4010 but it could be ur xcam needs flashing had a similar problem with my xcam had 2 down grade it then upgrade it after that it worked ok if u do a google search magictrance thats the home of the xcam an suport
