Default When i turn on my pc a boontybox error appears

Hi I have a problem when turning on my pc a box appears and at the top it says BoontyBox followed by

Erreur : Des fichiers necessaires a l'application sont manquants.
Veuillez reinstaller votre BoontyBox

I don't know why the error is appearing in the first place and i don't understand it because it is in french
underneath the error above is a long list each line begins with

C:\Program files\Boonty\BoontyBox\Skins

I have already restored the pc to factory settings but the error still appears I do not have a clue why this has happened any help would be very much appreciated as I am not the brightest button when trying to sort out any pc problems
Would it be OK for me to uninstall the BoontyBox file from my PC or will it cause me other problems
The pc is a hp and is running with windows xp if any other info is required for anyone to help please ask and I will try to find out the answers
Thankyou for taking the time to read this thread and if you can help in any way Thankyou

Boontybox is gaming related. It appears to install itself as part of PE2 whatever that might be. I found this comment:

"BoontyBox is a game download manager somewhat akin to Windows media player" &

"1)when you purchase the Pe2 add-on you are forced to download it through a game/download manager called boontybox.

2)During the install, if you don't tell it not to, boonty box will check your HDD for other installed games.

3)BoontyBox will also set some cookies in IE.

4)BoontyBox is a game manager/ data miner/ and DRM program. It can be uninstalled at any time after the download completes, no information should be sent about your if you do this.

5)The BB install creates a service that runs with windows, and two processes that run whenever you play IL2. It is unclear if these leftovers are DRM or just inert remnants of the program, but none of them apparently 'phone home' anything. These two processes are launched through a modified .exe file and cannot be simply deleted. (game won't work)

6) members of the community have devised ways to completely remove these remnants.

7) If BB was left active on your computer it would gather data about what games (probably BB games only) that you play, how often and long you play them. It would report this back home for marketing purposes. There is nothing to suggest that any other type of information would be 'harvested' from your computer. "

It doesnt seem to be a particular nasty but if you want rid of it pur " boontybox removal" into google and no end of suggestions will magically appear
