Hi All,
Could somebody please help me as i am having no success. I recently purchased to eurovox's from a good supplier. He has sold many with the same firmware with no problems. So i presume I am doing something wrong. I live in an area that has a Live virgin media feed. If i was to plug the coaxal cable into my tv I get the basic channels. If I was plug this into my box it can not picj up ANY channels. I have looked at previous posts where it mentions to change the power scan symbol rate from 6952 to 6887. I have done this, but have had no joy . I have performed the full search as well. I have the old telewest connection that has the socket for tv and radio. Its not like the connection for virgin that i see round my friends whereby its the tv and broadband. I think it has somethng to do with this after reading one of the other threads. Tried to post the link but i am too knew . Am i right? Would i then need to get virgin to hook up the broadband to get the proper connection and link this to the eurovox? Thanks, Rich |

If you are on a telewest feed then your symbol rate should be set at 6,952 as 6,887 is for ntl areas only. Your connection is an older isolator which should still work unless its faulty, try powerscanning again on the proper symbol rate and if no luck try it at your friends before returning as faulty....

Whatever anyone gets down a feed from an unsubscribed line is in the lap of the Gods anyway...some are lucky and it might work great, but some are not and they then have no-one to complain too ...so do you not think that even a basic subscription is worth what you will be able to get from your Eurovox? take the plunge, then at least you know that you are getting a proper signal down that feed ...good luck and Happy New Year

a bit vague there m8, is it working at your g/f's or what ? if it is and not at yours its your feed thats at fault. if its not return it as its likely that the tuner is faulty.

Time to contact your supplier I would say as it could be a faulty box perhaps...
On the other hand I wonder about your teminal box in the house,it may not be usable and you might have to subscribe to Virgin to get the basic package for it to work, but then again this is offset by you saying it didnt work at your girl friends seems to me that its the box thats at fault,a word to your supplier is what I would advise tell them you have tried it on more than one connection....good luck anyway hope it all works out for you ...keep us advised

Hi,
I have just looked into this, now. I was wrong before the box did work at my Girlfriends. I have since contacted virgin to try and get broadband for my house. They told me that there is no cabling in my area for the broadband. Could this be why the box does not pick up any channels when it i try it in my ntl socket that I have in the house ? |

If they are saying that you can't get BB then i doubt very much that you are in a fully cabled area!
From the info youve gave i suggest that you put your box back up on ebay!
