Help Please Some channels Missing

Hi guys, im a new member i have been reading posts on here with regards to channels missing,

I am missing a few channels but most importantly im missing sky sports 1 / 2 / 3,

When i do a power scan on full i only pick up 29 transponders at my house
however i take the box to my dads house 2 streets away and it picks up 35 transponders,

the question is how do i manually add channels to the box.

just get the frequencys off your dads box and do this Eurovox tutorials

i have tried this i have even power scanned it at my dads house then brought the box round to my house all the channels are on then however you go to some of the channels (sky sports 1 2 3 uktv channels as well as others) and it shows as no signal.

My signal is ok as the quality differs from 80 to 82

have you tried doin an autoscan

Try a Full powerscan instead of a normal one.

i have done an autoscan / full power scan and normal

When i scan the box at my house it only picks up 29 transponders if i scan it at my dads it brings up 35 transpondors but when i bring the box back to my house with all the channels on the sky sports channels say no signal or searching for signal (my signal quality is 81 - 81)

How do i do the firware thingy ?

I spoke to somebody today the guy who i bought the box off from bowlers computer fair last saturday,

This is what he said i might not be picking up all the channels because the cables that are coming into my house are analogue cables and the new box i have is digital

it sounds logic as i have ntl since it first came out which would of been analogue at the time

What do people think is it worth giving ntl a ring to ask if they will switch me to digital.

Dont think the cables matter much as its only the boxs that convert the signals into Digital.
