Default Two searching questions.

When I do an advance search on my Technomate 5400 I have the option of switching "Network" off or on. It is set to off as default. What is the advantage of switching it on?
I also notice that my Universal LNB setting can be changed between 9.750/10.600 and 9.750/10750. Am I correct in assuming that the second setting gives a wider range and therefore should always be set?

Hi,

I have never got the network search to work on mine, I think its supposed to just find the transponders.

If its a universal LNB set it to 9.75/10.6. These are the local oscillator frequencies inside the LNB and can't be changed, you just select one or the other.

10.75 will make all your channels appear as if they are 150MHz off frequency.

Network search is supposed to scan the Network Information Table and add in any new tp's that arent in the receiver database. I always turn it off as I find its flaky on some receivers, and set the frequencies up manually.
