Not needed in keys folder or config files but it doesn't matter if you make them all 755.

I'm sorry but I dont know what you mean by 110 and 119. If they are channel numbers then I dont know them. I always go by satellite positions and channel names.

Can you get a picture on a free to air channel like BBC World or BBC 1?

Ok it makes sense now. I didn't realise you were in the USA. BBC 1 is not really an option for you.

Your file /var/etc/satellites.xml should list all the satellites and the associated transponders that you can get a line of sight on.

If you set up the motor settings using diseqc you can find each satellite and save the position as a number and then make a note of that number for future reference. Save the sat positions and then blue button takes you to the next page. Make sure you are shouwing the correct satellite to match the sat you are looking at. ie if you are pointing at 110W, select 110W from the dropdown menu and then scan by selecting automatic transponder scan. Be sure that it still lists 110W as the sat.

Move the dish to another sat and repeat the scans. make sure you save at every opportunity. It doesn't matter if you save twice but it does if you forget to save the settings.

Have a look at satellites.xml file in a browser and see if all the satellites that you could get on line of sight are listed.

The keys you need are those for the encryption systems used by the providers you are trying to clear. Unfortunately I dont know if the Satan keys are applicable to the Western satellites/providers. However I am sure there must be others available for the USA systems.
