Dreambox 7025 - Techwatch: Satellite TV forums, FTA, Cable, Hardware, & Tech forums

Hi All, I Hope somebody can help me, I have just got a DM7025 (3days ago) I have been on a few forums and picked up the general idea and have flashed it with gemini 3.2 I have also installed various cams from Gemini server, Now I am seeing a lot of references to "Keys" now I cannot find any paperwork that tells me what keys are or what to do with them, If someone could point me in the right direction it would help me a lot, Thanks anybody

Hi Les, keys are what the emus read to decrypt the channel signals. Without them, the emus will only read subscribed cards. The best ones I find are Satans updates which you can get if you search on that name.

I dont know which emus you have installed but the keys go into folders usr/keys or var/keys and usr/scce or var/scce. Those in usr/keys are used by some emus like CCcam and those in usr/scce are used by others like mgcamd

Thanks for that info it has helped a lot, I have another question now if you can help me please, I have 2 genuine cards one is Nova and the other is Sky I have also read on the forum that the 7025 will read both these and also that the sky card needs updating and that the 7025 will also do this, can you tell me how to do this please and also the Nova card is Irdeto does one of these cams I have installed allow me to put this card into the machine and it work ok,
I went int the "blue menu" on the 7025 and it states Satans keys so I keyed it and after quite a while it said download complete and installation complete so I assume I have them installed, as for cams I have cccam, newcamd, newcs 1.5, Evocamd.

CCcam should read those cards ok but I dont have them so I cant be absolutely sure. But, I know a man who does.

Put the cards in the box, set the emu to CCcam and leave them for a few minutes on a Nova or sky channel and they should clear. If not we will try to help with other options.

Hi, I have to leave my Sky card in to see if it does update etc, But the Nova card doesnt decode using the cccam, I have checked and find the the recommended cam (Module) is a Duocam which is Conax - Irdeto I dont know if this makes any difference or not

Nova card irdeto V4 5 & 6 is working in latest CCcam 1.4 and NDS uk card is working but needs Digibox for updates.

Cannot get the Nova card working with CCcam at all, i must be missing something, I have seen many images would that make any difference ie have I got a bad one installed I have Gemini 3.2

No that image should be fine. The LT Team are working on an image for the 7025 and I gather that it is working very well.

Did you download and install CCcam via the Gemini downloads direct to your Dreambox?

Yes I did, I think I may reinstall it because I have noticed that when I first reboot the unit the "Enigma Loading" screen doesnt go of it remains on in background, and if I tell it to update programmes none are downloaded and i can see there are updates

Tried it again and I still cannot get the card to work, I have all the latest cams in But still no go.
