On New Year's Day I noticed that the Al Jazeera Sport +1 and +2 channels which I was receiving using an ART Sport card from the Hotbird satellites were no longer available.
Today - 2 January - both channels are working again but are showing another Arabic channel on both the previously +1 and +2 channels. The ART Sport channels 1-6 are unaffected. Does anyone know why this has happened? I recall hearing that the Al Jazeera Sport +1 and +2 channels will not be available using ART Sport cards from 1 January 2008. If this is correct, would buying a new Al Jazeera Sport channel card rectify the problem? Thank you for any help. |

Thanks for the reply.
I deleted the 2 channels as you suggested and rescanned them, but the picture does not reappear. All I have on each channel are vertical coloured stripes with the "FAC-LINE1" appearing across them. Any further advice will be gratefully received. Do you think my hunch about these 2 channels no longer being available via ART Sport cards is correct? If so, buying a card specifically for Al Jazeera Sport +1 and +2 should remedy the problem. |

Have you tried scanning the following frequencies,on Hotbird:
10723.00 H 29900 3/4 11179.00 H 27500 3/4 As both these carry Al Jazeera Sports+1 and +2. If they dont appear, then it might be time for the new Al Jazeera card. Edit:Though, after checking King of Sat,it still lists them as part of Arabesque, but then it could be out of date. Last edited by SAT-WORLD; 05-01-08 at 12:13 AM. |

Yes, I tried rescanning on both of those frequencies (I was orginally using the first one) but to no avail.
I found where I can buy a new card, but - in the technical information about the card - it is stated that the encryption is "Viaccess 3". I receive the Hotbird signal through a Technomate 1500 CI+ receiver, and - before buying the new card - I wanted to check whether my receiver is compatible with such a card. Does anyone know? Thanks. |

Its a multicrypt,so should be compatible:http://www.technomate.com/reviews/Te...Jan%202005.pdf
Ask the retailer, where you are buying the card from,to be sure and post back,so it helps others. Thanks. |

I bought a new Al Jazeera Sport+ channel card and inserted it but still both the channels +1 and +2 (10723.00 H 29900 3/4) remain scrambled, despite the online store from which I bought the card assuring me it would work using a Technomate 1500 CI+.
Any ideas what I could do now? Thanks. |
