Apologies all for everyone who received a "Happy Birthday" announcement on Jan 1st - as for most people, this would not have been their birthday!
What happened is that when SH was imported into TW, there was no value for "birthdate" available to import, and it appears that the software we're using here decided to default everyone to Jan 1st. This of course then led to the automated birthday announcements then being sent out to all members the forum software thought was having a birthday on that date. Anyway, I figured against sending out yet another email to correct the matter, and thought a public announcement would be more helpful to you inboxes. And apologies again for any inconvenience that may have been caused. - Brian |

This happens too on another site I visit techguy.org,it defaults everyone who has not entered a full birthdate ie. day/month/year to Jan 1st resulting in a massive list on Jan 1st as they have over 300.000 members...it has now been modified to only include regular visitors instead of those who just join and not post,or only post once in a blue moon....
