Default Re: 4:2:2 feeds?

I have found the motherboard manual that came with my pc. The motherboard is an ASRock 939NF4G-SATA2. It lists a couple of chipsets :-
North Bridge Controller nVidia GeForce 6100 Chipset
South Bridge Controller nVidia nForce 410MCP Chipset

I have e-mailed ASRock to try and find out if the Skystar 2 will work ok on my pc. In the meantime does anyone know if my pc and Skystar 2 will be compatible?

AMD Athlon 64 processor 3500+ 2.21 GHz
1GB DDR Memory
Windows XP Home (sp2)

Thanks in advance.

Thanks again robbo. I 'll have a look at that later. Does the USB version have the same capabilities as the PCI?

It can do Diseqc1.0 I believe, but it can't drive a motor due to power constraints. I have read on a few other posts that the capabilities are the same otherwise, but I can't confirm.

That would be fine, I was intending to drive the motor with the Technomate.

the sky star 2 card in pc will do 4:2:2 easily with a dvb viewer such as progdvb or altdvb

99% of the 422 feeds I watch lag the main O/P when viewed on sat, presumably due to decoding and buffering within the PC.

AceB, so a 422 compatible receiver would show pictures faster than than the Skystar2 PCI card?
