Hey Slacky I had a patched Ambit 250 modem that got bricked and stopped working...I wasn't able to login into the modem using the configurator tool....are you saying I can solve this problem and make my modem work again ???

no when its bricked u do need to replace or reprogram the chip, the soft jtag is a method to get the option p back to flash the modem

u need it to flash the modem if u dont no what its for i suggest u read up about them before starting to flash them

yes u use soft jtag with ethernet connected and power

no it doesnt brick the modem it just updates it so u cant flash it via option p but u use soft jtag to load the origanal bootloader to get option p back
