Default How can I split my connection for the Eurovox Max V Box?

I currently have Virgin tv (formally NTL), installed in my home. I am using a Eurovox Max v Box. I would like to buy another box and use that in another room. I used to also have NTL broadband. The broadband cable comes out of the same white box on the wall that the tv cable comes from. Assuming that I can not now use the unsed old broadband cable for my extra box, would it just be a case of replacing that cable for a different cable that tv passes through and running that to my new box in the other room?

Please advise.

Thanks.

If your broadband cable is still connected, you should be able to use that.

I have tried the broadband cable and it works. Thanks.
Just to complicate things further, If I plug in a modified NTL box will this tell Virgin that their box is plugged in as I am led to believe that it is important to have their box plugged in somewhere as they will know if it is not. Is the fact that the NTL box is modified mean that they will not know it is plugged in?

Please help.

Thanks.

Eurovoxes are NOT traceable as they have no return path whereas subscribed set top boxes do ...as to whether Virgin would be bothered if your box is plugged in or not ? I dont think they care as long as they are getting your subscription...but yes they can see your set top box if they want to .....

So to clarify, if I decide to plug in their box, in case they decide to check, Will I or will I not, be able to plug in a modified box? I.E. does it have to be an unmodified box in order for them to see it. etc?
(I understand that the euro box can not be traced).

Thanks.

The mod box you refer too, is it a mod VM box or a eurovox. I would be very careful about a mod box unless the reply signal as been disabled. No problem with a eurovox box with or without an official VM box connected.

I am refering to a modded sliver samsung NTL box.
Is it worth plugging this in somewhere so that they can see I have one of their boxes plugged in, or is the fact it is moddified mean that they will not be able to see it, so pointless plugging it in.
(I am currently using a eurovox box).

Thanks.

If it's modded, there's no need to keep it plugged in - unless you want some extra channels in another room.
