Right, I've just got a MAX 232 cable and firstly, I need to know which pins to connect it to on the ambit 250 (I've found it for the 5101 in the Haynes). I also need to know the hyperterminal settings to connect to each and how on earth I can use schwatrz katze 1.28 using the MAX232 instead of the blackcat cable (frankly, my efforts at making one were laughable at best!). Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks for the speedy reply
I'm afraid I don't have access to the downloads section as I'm a noob ![]() I did notice the 250 hyperterminal settings in the haynes shortly after posting that and felt slightly foolish! I'm assuming I should be able to use settings from either the 250 or the 5100 for the 5101E as thetyseem to have quite a lot in common, I can always rely on trial and error if I have to though ![]() |

Thank you very much! I'd come home from work looking forward to a bit of playing with electronics and thought I might have had to postpone it (yes, I really am a geek!)
