Default UK Sky Digital in Netherlands?

Heyy all.

May be moving to the Netherlands in the near furure, and TV is what our family lives for and british tv at that.

Would recieving Sky in Netherlands be a trouble...

Kind Regards.

No problem whatsoever. Just dont let Sky know you are moving abroad or they will immediately cancel your sub card.

Thank you very much.

Would you need a bigger size dish or something, also what about multiroom seeing as that requires a phone line, I have got a voip with a local number will that do? also how would be the best way of paying for it?

Kind Regards.

Hi, You might have a bit of a problem in poor weather with a Sky minidish, but you do not need a stupidly sized dish, as you are within the footprint of even the Astra 2D transponders (for BBC ITV etc). Depending on your exact location ( I will asume the worst) an 80cm dish should do fine.

I think the expats often pay by credit card.

I think you might have problems with the multiroom though, I heard you get boxes that go on your line to hide your location from SKy, but its not really someting I have needed to look into.

Forget Multiroom to begin with.

I know digibox diallers are available for Germany but I have no idea about Holland.

But wont it work with a VoIP line which has a 0191 (newcastle) number as I have a Linksys PAP2 (which allows normal phone to connect to).

Oh well if it wont work... your the experts.

Kind Regards.

If you do get it working please post details of what you did / settings etc for future reference.

Do you have multiroom at home connected to your VOIP line?

If that works, one could theorise that it would work in Holland.

Analoguesat is usually right though.
